New for 2012!  Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is Yogic Sleep with awareness, taught by talented specialist Sami Aaron.  This is a guided meditation that explores the various sheaths of the body, breath, emotions, intellect, and intuition and opens a connection to your higher self.  Yoga Nidra is practiced in a reclining position and induces full-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness.  It is a nurturing practice for anyone suffering from chronic pain, illness, grief or stress.  The practice is accessible to anyone; no prior yoga experience is necessary.  Wear comfortable clothing and eat a light and early lunch before you come.  Contact us if you have special needs or concerns. Suitable for all levels, including those with auto-immune illness or injury.

Sami starts each day with a classical pranayama and meditation practice, incorporating Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) as often as possible!  These practices were the catalysts that helped her find peace as she pulled herself up out of the deep grief that defined her after the death of her older son.  She began teaching ongoing meditation and breathing classes in 2007 in the Kansas City area as a way to share these gifts with others who are grieving or who are struggling with physical pain or emotional turmoil.
