Growing Compassion

A truth: Sorrow teaches us compassion. Well, isn’t that just nice, some may think. Ummmmm. Sorrow teaches compassion. I know many who awaken that deeper level of their spirit and then: Bam! They pull back. Why?

Seven dead women were in my hot tub in my dream last night. I awoke elated! The metaphor of seven “deaths” made me think of powerful change I allowed in my psyche, spirit and mind the past months. Awakened by the storm last night, I wrote in my journal late in the night in big bold letters: I FORGIVE MYSELF FOR FALLING SHORT OF TRIUMPH! I FORGIVE MYSELF FOR NOT LOVING MORE SOONER!

A high truth: Sorrow teaches us compassion.

Well, isn’t that just nice, some may think. Ummmmm. Sorrow teaches compassion. I know too many who awaken that deeper level of their spirit and then: Bam! They pull back. Why?

Because you are going to CARE a lot more than you use to. You will feel a sorrow for the sadness in the world. It’s because when you weep, your observing and measuring devices or chakras will open up more and YOU WILL sense your MAJESTY,

And your DIGNITY and GRACIOUS GIVING as you become more sensitive to love.

It may just scare the hell out of you and you may pull back into your shell or run. This level of love is not for the weak. It is for the few, the brave and the strong. Why? When there is pain in the world you will feel compassion for it. You will care about others that you use to ignore. It may feel like way too much caring and many just do not want to open to that level of vulnerability.

As there is more of you, there is more love. How can we give what we do not own? As our self-love matures and our compassion grows powerful, your light shines into the world and others will notice you. Others will want to be around you. Others will wonder what is so beautiful about you. Congratulations. Your integrity, courage, and loyalty to Divine love are making radical expansions.

Thus the metaphor of the seven dead women. I think of them as the seven dwarfs of the negative ego (who loves us to stay in fear or hate or blame!!) What died? My self-pity, blame (easier to blame than feel the fear), arrogance, self-condemnation; loneliness; victim and my martyr (well not all of it as must hang on to one good dose of suffering every so often.)

And what is born?

Oh, my God she is soooooooo beautiful! She/he is now much more present and less self-focused. She/he loves with radiance! Truth: They love! They love wide, full, deep, and whole. Their love carries beauty, ecstasy and truth.

It’s you. It’s me. It’s all of us as we shed the mask, the lies, and the illusion. Be brave, my friends. Be brave.
